Young people who will fight COVID-19 in Baracoa receive the Cuban flag
A selection of a hundred university students who will star impact tasks in the confrontation to COVID-19 received the Cuban flag this Thursday at the taxi base located in Bohorque, Baracoa.
On the occasion Beatriz Urgellés Castillo read the text of commitment to the mission assigned, recalled the historical link between the young leadership and the history of Cuba, and expressed the pride it will mean to contribute to the health of the people.
Meanwhile, Diana Rosa Acosta Rodríguez, a second-year Bachelor's degree student in Foreign Languages at the University of Guantánamo exposed, on behalf of her colleagues, the willingness of Baracoa's young people to support in the confrontation to Covid-19 in the territory.
Those selected for this new task were called Jóvenes por La Vida and will act as a platoon that will be wherever and in any way necessary in order to reduce the presence of the new coronavirus in this municipality.
The act of symbolic allocation of actions in favor of health in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic was attended by the top leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), the Government and the Young Communist League (UJC) in Baracoa.
