Health risk increases in Bohorque
The two new cases positive for Covid-19 associated this Wednesday with Bohorque, in Baracoa, complicate the health situation in that area, the epicenter of the epidemiological state of the municipality.
The infected people were contacts of confirmed cases, and the fact that they reside where the only event of autochthonous transmission of the new coronavirus is maintained here forces us to further strengthen health protocols and the restriction of movements in the place.
Yesterday there were no admissions to isolation centers in the municipality, while 26 patients in contact of confirmed cases are kept in the Félix Varela Morales pedagogical school located in San Luis, 17 at the Duaba Camping Site and 46 at El Yunque.
On the same day, 54 PCR tests were carried out and 29 national travelers are being monitored today at the Félix Ruenes Aguirre high school, in El Jamal.
The Municipal Defense Council updates measures to reduce the excessive entry to Baracoa of people from areas with transmission of SARS-COV-2, the main cause of the current epidemiological situation in the territory.
A total of 43 focal points and 2 autochthonous transmission events have been attended to in the Prime City of Cuba since the beginning of the outbreak of COVID-19 last December.
